He was credited for introducing the tuxedo suit for women, was the first designer to use ethnic models in his runway shows, and referenced other non-European cultures in his work. YSL is famous for glamorizing for women items taken from the male wardrobe including the blazer, the pant suit, the leather jacket, and the tuxedo, like I have previously talked about.

4)Dolce & Gabbana (D&G)
-Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury industry fashion house. The company was started by the Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in Milan, Italy. Dolce & Gabanna have two central lines; the first is Dolce&Gabbana (spelled without spaces unlike the name of the company) which specialize in luxury items influenced more by designers and is more formal and "timeless", responding to long-term trends rather than seasonal changes. They also specialize in sunglasses, purses, watches, fragrances, and a new makeup line. The other line is D&G which is a slightly more casual line that follows an urban inspiration and attempt to set trends rather than follow them. It is the younger, more flamboyant line of the brand. D&G has been voted the UK's best luxury brand.

- Formerly, Princess Diane Von Furstenberg, is a Belgian-American fashion designer best known for her wrap dress and signature prints. DVF has grown the global luxury lifestyle brand into what it is today a complete collection of ready-to-wear, swimwear, accessories, footwear and handbags. She was the only person in the couturier field to be named on Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century. Coco started out as a singer and when she did not get steady work she began her career in the fashion world. There are many films and books written about Coco. There is also a Broadway musical called "Coco"; Katharine Hepburn played Coco for the first eight months and by Danielle Darrieux for the rest of its run.

7)Calvin Klein
-Calvin Klein Inc. is a fashion brand founded in 1968 by American fashion designer Calvin Klein. The company is headquartered in Manhattan, New York City and currently owned by Phillips-Van-Heusen. The Girls of Gossip Girl

From the very first season of Gossip Girl I realized I was watching these girls' outfits more than I was the actual show.  They are the dare devils of the fashion world.  Living in up-scale New York, they can wear whatever they want and really go out on a limb when deciding the character's outfit for the day.  Being from Alabama and living there my entire life.. it's kind of a different story. I hope one day to change that.
This was one of my favorite outfits Serena Vanderwoodson (Blake Lively) wore on the set.  I knew right when I saw those bright blue pants and erridiscent gold top, I was in LOVE

If it is on the set or just another day walking around in New York, Blake is always strutting her stuff.  This outfit is put together with the mixing of pastel colors.  The shoes bring us back to the 50s and the necklace completes Blake's attire with a pop of color.

This combination of garments are brilliant!  It makes me want to go out and buy a sparkly crop skirt and blue jean quarter length sleeve vest right now! It is the perfect middle between 'a night out on the town' and 'a walk around the park'.

She even looks great in the rain. Loveeee these shorts- spicing things up a bit.

These different shades of grey really work together. The burgundy necklace really pulls together the whole look.

love the fun jacket to put some craziness into this outfit!

Blair Waldorf  (Leighton Meester) has a very different type of style from the other characters.  She is the classic woman.  She has a way of pulling off the look from the 1950s and other decades. Love everything about this outfit :)

Another style Blair loves to wear is very bold colors.  She loves mix and matching her color pallet.

Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams).  She is fantastic! Lovin' these leather pants.  In this frame she is mixing the two leathers of camel and black and workin' it.

She is one of the only people who could pull off different patterns together like these.

Some more fun styles!

These girls are amazing! They think out of the box with their fashion style. I would definitely not mind living out of these girls' closets for a week :)

Inspiration.

Lauren Conrad is one of the most inspiring people in my book.  I have followed her all the way from the first season of Laguna Beach through every season of the hills (I have all of them on dvd..).  She has taught me many lessons that I still use everyday in my fashion world. Two years ago my sister gave me one of her first books, "Style".
By the end of reading this book, (which took me all of 1 day because I could not put it down) there were post-it notes flying out of every page.  I have trouble even looking through it now because it is so incredibly stuffed.

I began searching for anything Lauren Conrad I could find. I then came across her very own website. This has some wonderful ideas all throughout it.  She has tabs about fashion, cooking, hair styles, ideas for parties and more.  It covers everything.

Last but not least- here is a preview for her up and coming fall line at kohls...

Let Lauren Conrad become one of your fashion role models.
