1) Yves Saint Laurent
-Yves Saint Laurent was a French fashion designer who lived from 1936 to 2008. He was credited for introducing the tuxedo suit for women, was the first designer to use ethnic models in his runway shows, and referenced other non-European cultures in his work. YSL is famous for glamorizing for women items taken from the male wardrobe including the blazer, the pant suit, the leather jacket, and the tuxedo, like I have previously talked about.

2)Vivienne Westwood
-Vivienne Westwood was born in 1941 in Derbyshire, England. Together with Malcolm McLaren, future manager of the Sex istols, she opened her first store in 1971. In the '70s, she was one of the main figures contributing to the formation of the punk styles. Vivienne has won various awards including the British stylist of the Year.

3)Ralph Lauren
-Ralph Lauren is an American fashion designer and business executive; best known for his Polo Ralph Lauren clothing brand. He was born in The Bronx, New York. He is married to Ricky Anne Low-Beer and has three boys. An interesting fact is he was contracted to provide clothing styles for the movie "The Great Gatsby". He is also a well known collector of over 70 automobiles that are displayed at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts.

4)Dolce & Gabbana (D&G)
-Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury industry fashion house. The company was started by the Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in Milan, Italy. Dolce & Gabanna have two central lines; the first is Dolce&Gabbana (spelled without spaces unlike the name of the company) which specialize in luxury items influenced more by designers and is more formal and "timeless", responding to long-term trends rather than seasonal changes. They also specialize in sunglasses, purses, watches, fragrances, and a new makeup line. The other line is D&G which is a slightly more casual line that follows an urban inspiration and attempt to set trends rather than follow them. It is the younger, more flamboyant line of the brand. D&G has been voted the UK's best luxury brand.

5)Diane Von Furstenberg
- Formerly, Princess Diane Von Furstenberg, is a Belgian-American fashion designer best known for her wrap dress and signature prints. DVF has grown the global luxury lifestyle brand into what it is today a complete collection of ready-to-wear, swimwear, accessories, footwear and handbags. Inspired by DVF signature prints, these new covers are both functional and fashionable.

6)Coco Chanel
-Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel was a French fashion designer who was an important figure in the 20th-century fashion. She was the only person in the couturier field to be named on Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century. Coco started out as a singer and when she did not get steady work she began her career in the fashion world. There are many films and books written about Coco. There is also a Broadway musical called "Coco"; Katharine Hepburn played Coco for the first eight months and by Danielle Darrieux for the rest of its run.

7)Calvin Klein
-Calvin Klein Inc. is a fashion brand founded in 1968 by American fashion designer Calvin Klein. The company is headquartered in Manhattan, New York City and currently owned by Phillips-Van-Heusen. The monogram cK is the established emblem for Calvin Klein. The company has MANY different designers collaborated with it including Italo Zucchelli (head designer of Calvin Klein Collection menswear line in spring 2004), and Kevin Carrigan (creative director of cK Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein white label brands and their related licensed products). Carrigan has been with Calvin Klein since 1998.

8)Betsey Johnson
-Betsey is an American fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs. Many of her designs are considered "over the top" and embellished. She is also known for doing a cartwheel at the end of her fashion shows. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority at Syracuse University. After graduation, she spent a summer as an intern at Mademoiselle magazine. Betsey has a bunch of different lines and has 45 stores worldwide. In 2002, Johnson was inducted into the Fashion Walk of Fame!
